Thousands of radio scripts were submitted for the Roadblock Republicans radio contest. We've chosen twenty outstanding scripts, and we want you to choose the winner!

Please fill out the full form below to submit your vote!

We've had tens of thousands of votes, but the voting is very, very close. Only a few hundred votes separates the top 5. So, if you have a favorite, get others to vote. It could make all the difference!

Here are the top 20 finalists in our radio contest. Now it's time for all of you to choose the winner. Your choice will be the radio spot we create to air in the states of the Roadblock Republicans. These are just 'reads' of the final script, not actual spots, as you'll see. We had the same voice read all 20 so you could choose based solely on the quality of the script. Thanks!

(background noises of elephants followed by the noise of an elephant stampede).
The Republican senators have allowed our troops to be stampeded into Iraq for long enough. They can't hear the American public over their own thunder and rhetoric. They refuse to look at the opinion polls which show most Americans are ready for our troops to leave Iraq. The only way they will hear us, is by sending them a strong message on election day... by not voting for them again. (elephant background noise stops - peaceful sound starts)...

Republicans can't explain the Iraq war, but they want more of the same. They have no exit strategy, no plan for victory. Yet four years of war touches everyone. The brave Americans who serve in Iraq are our neighbors, friends and family.
When they ask for our support, are they asking for more of the same?
Let's bring them home with honor.
Vote Democratic.

I volunteered for the Army in 1968. Now, when I am in Washington, I go to the Wall, and look for the names of my dead friends, and try not to weep. Someday they will build an Iraq Wall. Some of those names will be there because Senator _______ put Party above country. How many more of them can you, or he, stomach?

Dear Mitch McConnell, my Air Force son depended on you to vote with reason and wisdom instead of partisanship, but you have let him and all Kentuckians down with your continued support of the Bush Administration. Therefore, I must respectfully decline to support you as my representative in the upcoming senatorial elections. My son's and my country's life depends on it.

Imagine that you are driving an emergency vehicle. You need to get somewhere very badly. Lives depend on arriving as quickly as possible. But at every turn there is a roadblock, and someone keeps putting barricades in your way. The road leads us out of Iraq. Senator XXXXX is blocking the way. Remove this Roadblock Republican today.

My son is scheduled to go to Iraq this fall. I am devastated, heartbroken, scared to death. He signed up to protect his country, not fight in a civil war. He expected to be led by a Commander-in-Chief. Instead he got George W. Senator _______ supports Bush's stubborn‚ "stay the course" strategy. How many more soldiers need to die before we change course? Vote for a change this November. Please vote for ____________.

Lost: 3,600 American troops, 50,000-100,000 Iraqi civilians, more than $600 billion, our standing in the international community, truth, 7,200 Iraqi police and soldiers, a workable exit strategy, voter support, confidence in the President and his policies. We the People spoke loudly with our votes in 2006, Change! Get our children, spouses, mothers and fathers out of Iraq! But the Roadblock Republicans refuse. While blaming everyone else for their unjustified war, they stubbornly stay the course while more of our loved ones die. Speak again with your votes! Tell them they're not doing what you hired them to do. Vote them out.

If your brother is in danger, would a roadblock keep you from helping him? If your child is reaching to you in need, would you allow someone to build a roadblock in your way? If not, how can you allow the Republicans in the Senate to build roadblocks that keep our soldiers from coming home? Vote 2008 for someone who will tear down the roadblocks. Bring our troops home.

Thank you Senator x, for standing firm with President Bush and Vice President Cheney in your continued support for the war in iraq. It takes a unique mind to ignore the facts, ignore the news, and ignore the views of most Americans and the people of our state. The Senate won't be the same without you. Thank God.

Republicans in Congress have blamed everyone for the mess in Iraq. They blamed the media for covering it. They blamed voters for speaking out against it. They finally started blaming the Bush Administration for creating it. The question now is, who to blame for not ending it? Your Congressman is. Americans must hold the Republicans accountable for not doing anything to stop the Iraq War.

Senator [xxx] keeps voting to stay in Iraq. Even after the president's claims of WMD proved false. Even after the bipartisan, independent Iraq Study Group recommended phased troop withdrawals. Even after the National Intelligence Council released a report saying the Iraq war puts America in greater danger from terrorism. Senator [xxx] keeps voting to stay in Iraq.
What is your vote?

Hello <Senator or Congressman Name>, My Mommy's real angry at you because you won't bring my Daddy home from Iraq. Why won't you do it? Doesn't the President listen to you? My Mommy says you could make him listen if you really wanted to. She also says that if my Daddy doesn't come home, she'll never vote for you again. And she'll tell all her friends. Thank you <Senator or Congressman name>. Good-bye.

I am an American and I am a veteran and I believe in this country's greatness, and I say this, as simply and honestly as I can: This war was wrong from the start. Bringing the troops home is the best way to support them. Let's elect those who have the courage stand up to the President and do what's right.

Attention listeners! A $300,000 per minute giveway! Yep, money given away that could've been used to better schools, fix highways, and improve our communities. Some Republicans in Congress supported the failed Iraq war policy of the President. They ignored the warnings. They're giving away our future. Act in November 2008. Vote. There's no purchase necessary. Winners get the country back. Losers get kicked out of Congress.
